Explore the state of 19th-century medicine in our newest exhibit, "Military Medicine at Mackinac," located inside the 1829 Post Hospital. Take a look through a giant microscope, watch a virtual physician make his rounds in 1837, examine the unusual medical and surgical equipment of the time...all in Michigan's oldest hospital building. You can enter the fort through the south sally port facing Mackinac Island's Main Street or from the north side along Huron Road.
