Mackinac Island Downtown Building Interpretation

Mackinac State Historic Parks uses a blend of interpretation styles to entertain and educate Mackinac Island Downtown Historic Building visitors.  The visitor experience and interpretation of the park's four downtown buildings on Market Street is presented through public access to original historic structures and reconstructions, living history programs which include visitor participation, period settings, interactive hands-on exhibits, original artifacts, and interpretive panels.  All of these methods provide an enriching and entertaining experience for the downtown visitor.
